'managementServerIp' property in MOB returns 'Unset' for ESXi hosts managed by vCenter

Both vCenter and ESXi servers are 5.5 and it shows 'Unset' for 'managementServerIp' property in MOB. I believe it's something in the configuration, but not sure what to check, please advise where I can see 'managementServerIp' property equivalent in vSphere Client so I can confirm this issue.

Could it be license related? vCenter has 'vCenter Server 5 Essentials' license, and ESXi servers are in evaluation mode.

Thanks,

Ymnick

Update: It does work when connection is established against ESXi server with ESXi server user 'root', but not when connection is via vCenter with domain user having administrator role assigned for vCenter and ESXi hosts it manages. I still need to make it work via vCenter.
